This Special Edition “1900s Vintage” 12-Fret 00 Parlor is Hozen’s tribute to the earliest great Martins — the instruments built before 1918, in an era when guitar making was defined by restraint, refinement, and the human hand.
In creating this guitar, every effort was made to echo the details and spirit of those remarkable pre-First World War instruments as closely as possible. From its proportions to its visual language, it reflects a deep admiration for the understated beauty and timeless craftsmanship of that period.
One of the most distinctive details of those early guitars was the ivory bridge. While natural ivory is no longer legal or ethical to use today, this instrument features a carefully chosen imitation ivory alternative, allowing the design to remain visually faithful to the originals while embracing responsible modern values.
More than a vintage-style model, this guitar is a respectful reimagining of a historic voice — a piece that seeks to bring the romance, elegance, and character of the early 1900s into the hands of today’s player.
