Five Labels, One Voice
Red Label
Tradition, Revoiced
The Red Label is where the past and present meet. It is built for players who love the familiar language of the great pre-war American steel strings — the authority, balance, dryness and attack of the classic designs.
But tradition should not become a cage. A Red Label is not a museum copy. We recreate certain vintage pieces, but with a distinct Singaporean style, and I voice the traditional X-brace by a proprietary method so the tone stays fundamental while gaining a responsiveness you rarely find in a factory-built traditional guitar.
It is tradition, but not nostalgia.
What Defines It
Inside a Red Label
Rigid Rim construction
A stiffer rim lets the top and back do the work they are voiced to do.
Carbon-fibre neck reinforcement
Stability across humidity and years, without the weight of extra timber.
Wider slotted headstocks
Period-correct proportion, better string break angle.
Hot hide glue
The old-school joint: rigid, reversible, and acoustically transparent.
Ultra-thin polyurethane finish
Environmentally friendly, and thin enough to stay out of the way of the top.
Proprietary X-brace voicing
Familiar and fundamental, but far more responsive than a factory X.
